On Learning to Slow Down

There’s something about watching my cat, Loki, go through the day.
No rush, no pressure. Just moving when it wants to, resting when it needs to. Finding a quiet corner, or stretching out near the window where the light comes in.
Most afternoons, Loki is there - curled up, completely at ease, like time isn’t something to worry about.
It feels so simple. But also something I forget more often than I’d like.

On slower days, I notice it more. The quiet, the stillness, the in-between moments that usually pass too quickly.
I think that’s why I’ve grown to appreciate scent in a different way. Not as something strong or overpowering, but something soft in the background. Just enough to change how a space feels.
Some days, that’s all I need. A small shift. A reminder to slow down, even for a bit.
Lately, I’ve been drawn to softer, more grounding scents. It’s something I find myself wanting to explore more and creating blends that feel this gentle.
